Why is your information collected?

When filing a tax return or any other financial business transaction, as a part of the filing and documentation process we collect personal information such as your name, address, social security number, employment history, banking  information, etc.

Email marketing (if applicable) with your permission, we may send you notifications about our services, important dates, and other updates.

Consent

How do we get your consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete your tax return or use our accounting services. We imply that you consent to the collection of the documents provided and the use of those documents for services to be rendered.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary purpose, like marketing, we will ask you for your direct expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

Your personal information will never be shared with anyone else outside of the organization unless legally bound by law.

Operational Disclosures

Once a tax return inquiry is received and the documents are reviewed, the return will be processed unless otherwise stated by the client. All tax return inquiries that are not processed through the organization will be assessed an inquiry fee.

All returns are processed within three to five business days. If there is additional information that needs to be added, please contact the organization within this time frame to ensure a complete return submission.

The organization has employees who handle the information for processing purposes. These employees are well-trained professionals who will aid in the process of services being rendered.

Refunds of any fee’s accessed in the inquiry period or payment post services rendered is not permitted. If there is a case where an error has occurred on the part of the organization, we will review the situation on a case by case basis.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law or in regard to a violation of our Terms of Service.

In accordance with business hours, emails, phone calls, and text messages will be answered in the order they are received. Phone calls or voice messages will be followed up with written notification for legal purposes.

Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide us.

However, certain third-party service providers such as federal banks and other payment disbursement processors, have their own privacy policies in retrospect to the information we are required to provide to them for the receipt of your funds through tax return disbursement.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

If you provide us with banking information, the information is used solely for the purpose of receiving funds. Although no method of transmission over the internet or electronic media is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Changes to our Policies

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
